Celebration, sadness Olympic Winter Games open-photohollywood
Time Vancouver, British Columbia - after Georgian athlete was killed during a training session on the field Luge, Winter Olympic Games officially open on Friday evening.
Opening with a snowboarder jumping from the top of a sports hall, the performance of traditional dances and songs performed throughout Canada. Canadian contemporary artists such as Nelly Furtado, Sarah McLachlan and Bryan Adams, held with a number of other aboriginal Canadians.

The team received a standing ovation from Georgia, very excited when they entered the stadium during the opening ceremony. Gretzky ran out of the arena in a cauldron standing in front of a stage covered with light.
